New Coffee House Ministry Unveiled
Last weekend (9/15 & 9/16) after our worship services, we unveiled the ministry plan for a new initiative that has been in the works for three years: utilizing a coffee house format to reach the unchurched and develop relationships with them so that we can eventually share Jesus. A good number of people have been working through this plan, and it’s now moving forward at a fast pace. Pray with us that God blesses this effort and allows us to reach many more with his precious gospel message!
If you’d like to help out and support this initiative, we are seeking special donations from members and friends of St. Matthew that will assist us in the initial costs of opening this ministry effort. Even more exciting: your donation will be DOUBLE matched through funds from the Siebert Foundation and the St. Matthew Foundation until we reach $15,000 in initial donations from you. That means $15,000 raised equals $45,000! The funds are needed to purchase equipment and furniture, and to assist in the operation of the coffee house– which will be a not-for-profit enterprise.
Please contact Pastor Tom Mielke if you have any questions, or if you’d like to volunteer in some way in this ministry effort. And don’t forget to pray for God’s blessing upon it!
